I may be missing something obvious but I don’t see an easy way to post a message for all the members of NYUDH. I want to share the call to be a volunteer editor for dh+lib this fall. What’s the best way to spread this kind of news to our community?

Hi Monica,

It’s true — there is no way to email all users save a system-wide admin
announcement, which we do very rarely, if at all, on the other Commons
installations I run. What do you think about creating a homepage slide that
links to a blog post or forum post somewhere on the site as a way of
getting the word out? Then, we can also tweet an announcement out.

If that sounds good to you, please send me a cc-licensed image (with
attribution info) and the text of the slide and we’ll put it up.
