I received my education in Spain and France. I have taught at the University of Salamanca, École Normale Supérieure, Université de Paris III, and in 2002 I moved to the US, first to Berkeley, and then in 2008 to Columbia. I have published books and articles on Medieval and Early Modern Studies.

In addition to the books and articles I am currently working on, I plan to create a digital platform for the study of Iberian Law in the Middle Ages.
