For this week’s Tuesday Lab (4/1, at 6:30 pm, room 105 of 244 Greene St.), we will be exploring different approaches to counting and accounting for data that is often obscured in quantitative visualizations. Our framing questions are

Any visualization presents a necessarily abstract view in the sense that it presents certain features of a data set and obscures others. What features of our novel corpus have been obscured by our recent visualizations? And, how might methods of counting (on which most text analysis methods rely) enable us to account for these features?
