Hi all,

I am a fourth-year Ph.D. Student in Theatre at The Graduate Center, CUNY, and have just started a new position as a Futures Initiative Research Fellow. On October 10th, we are hosting a discussion of different ways of “writing” a dissertation: in the Scalar platform, as video, creating websites, drawing comics, designing multimedia interactives. Of course, performance and the incorporation of digital documentation of performing arts might be another example of such a method for creating knowledge! This event is free and open to the public. The event is not only happening at The Graduate Center, but will have participants all over the United States, and the world, participating via our livestream, Twitter (‪#‎remixthediss‬), and Google Doc where we are looking for interesting non-traditional dissertation projects’ success stories. If you have been or are writing a non-traditional dissertation, or are just interested in the topic, feel free to reach out to me, or to attend the event in any way possible.
