    NYU will be hosting the annual Apereo Conference and Open Summit May 22nd – 25th at the Kimmel Center. Apereo is the parent organization of Sakai, the open-source learning management system (LMS) that powers NYU Classes. See the latest developments in Sakai and meet with educators and technologists from universities around the world to discuss the future of online teaching and learning.

    NYU will be presenting on a number of topics, including:
    A new Gradebook in the upcoming version of Sakai that provides faster, spreadsheet-style grade entry and enhanced statistics for graded items
    A new integration between the LMS and Google Groups/Drive, which empowers greater collaboration between instructors and students
    Integrations NYU has established with multiple 3rd-party tools to create an ecosystem of tools and services to support teaching and learning, all centered around the learning management system
    Using a disaggregated LMS: rewards and challenges
    Results of its extensive faculty survey on the LMS, which received more than 2000 responses
