Gold<\/strong> is Associate Professor of English and Digital Humanities at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY).<\/p>\n<p>At the Graduate Center, he holds teaching appointments in the Ph.D. Program in English, the M.A. Program in Liberal Studies (MALS), the M.A. Program in Digital Humanities, the M.S. Program in Data Analysis and Visualization, and the doctoral certificate programs in Interactive Technology and Pedagogy and American Studies. He is Director of the M.A. Program in Digital Humanities and the M.S. Program in Data Analysis and Visualization. He serves as Advisor to the Provost for <a href=\"http:\/\/gcdi.commons.gc.cuny.edu\/\">Digital Initiatives<\/a>, Director of the <a href=\"http:\/\/commons.gc.cuny.edu\/\">CUNY Academic Commons<\/a>, Co-Director of the CUNY Digital Humanities Initiative, and Director of the GC Digital Scholarship Lab.<\/p>\n<p>He is series editor (with Lauren F. Klein) of the <a href=\"http:\/\/dhdebates.gc.cuny.edu\/\"><em>Debates in the Digital Humanities<\/em><\/a> book series (University of Minnesota Press) and has published work in The <em>Journal of Modern Literature<\/em>, <em>Kairos<\/em>, and <em>On the Horizon<\/em>, as well as in the edited collections <em>The Johns Hopkins Guide to Digital Media<\/em>, <em>Digital Humanities Pedagogy: Practices, Principles and Politics<\/em>, From <em>A to &lt;A&gt;: Keywords of Markup<\/em>, and <em>Learning Through Digital Media: Experiments in Technology and Pedagogy<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>His collaborative digital humanities projects, including <a href=\"http:\/\/lookingforwhitman.org\/\">Looking for Whitman<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/cbox.org\/\">, Commons In A Box<\/a>, Social Paper (with Erin Glass), DH Box (with Stephen Zweibel), and <a href=\"http:\/\/manifoldapp.org\/\">Manifold Scholarship<\/a>(with Doug Armato) have been supported by grants from the NEH Office of Digital Humanities, the National Science Foundation, the U.S. Department of Education, the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, and the Ford Foundation.
