The Center for Digital Humanities at Princeton is looking for an Assistant
Director and a Senior Research Software Developer (domain expertise in
humanities software development preferred but not required). The Princeton
University Library is looking for an Assistant Director for Digital and
Open Scholarship. See below and please share!
The Assistant Director will advance our mission of fostering innovative
research at the intersections of humanities, data, and computer science. As
a collaborative and strategic thinker, the Assistant Director will bring
experience with digital humanities (DH) scholarship, as well as excellence
in project management and program administration. They will help shape the
humanities data landscape at Princeton and will find creative solutions for
communicating CDH research to multiple audiences. The Assistant Director
will contribute to scholarship through publications, presentations, and
occasional teaching or co-teaching. They may serve as PI or co-PI on
faculty collaborations or (with University approval) externally-funded
grants. This position qualifies for 20% individual R&D time. (Learn more

The Senior RSE will be an integral member of CDH’s work to design and
implement high-quality, sustainable software to further innovative research
in the humanities and the data-driven or computational sciences. They will
work closely with CDH Lead Developer and other research software team
members, and will collaborate with faculty, student, and campus partners to
help translate research priorities into software needs, including analyzing
data, implementing models or simulations, and developing software modules
or tools. They will consult with Princeton scholars individually or in
small groups to discuss their research and recommend appropriate approaches
and solutions. They’ll have the opportunity for technical leadership on
collaborations that align with their expertise, and contribute to research
articles, presentations, and course modules. Application review begins

Assistant Director for Digital and Open Scholarship
Princeton University LibraryPrinceton University Library seeks an
innovative and collaborative individual to lead the newly formed Digital
Scholarship Program, supervising a core team of librarians and specialists
and providing leadership on coordinated digital scholarship services and
open scholarship initiatives throughout the library. Reporting to the
Director of Research Data and Open Scholarship, the Assistant Director will
develop a unified, sustainable set of services and resources in support of
digital methods and open scholarship practices, including consultative
services, training and guidance in relevant tools and resources, community
engagement, and digital project advice and support. They will build
strategic partnerships and engage directly with University researchers and
other stakeholders to ensure that services are strategically aligned with
and responsive to the evolving research landscape. Candidates for this
newly created position must have a strong desire to collaborate closely in
the development of digital products, projects, services, and infrastructure
that benefit research and scholarship and support PUL and the University’s
