Hi All —
Please see below. According to Baruch College librarian Frank Donnelly, who passed this on to me, Cartodb is a private sector web mapping firm located near the Flatiron building; a team that works there was instrumental in putting the NYC GIS Meetup group together. They’re offering a free, 90 minute web mapping workshop (using their product) on Dec 3rd 4pm-5:30pm. Please see below.

Subject: Free class: Online mapping for beginners
Good morning,
I’m writing to just quickly let you know that we are going to be teaching a class on December 3rd called, Online mapping for beginners. It will cover all you need to get started making maps online with your data. It will be totally free, streaming online to anybody anywhere, and a lot of fun. Feel free to share this with your co-workers, collaborators, students and friends. We hope to see you there!
