Bio | Christina is a doctoral candidate in English at the Graduate Center, CUNY, currently working on her dissertation on Sound Studies and American Transcendentalism and a companion sound recording project called The Walden Soundscape. She’s a co-organizer for Better to Speak, an advocacy group for women adjuncts at CUNY. She teaches at Hunter College and NJCU. |

Projects | My dissertation studies the influence of music and soundscape on American Transcendentalism and Pragmatism. My sound recording project maps sounds at Walden Pond to corresponding passages from Henry David Thoreau’s writings. |
