| Bio | A computer scientist and a humanist, George Kiraz was involved in digital projects in the humanities since the 1980s. He built a philological database for Syriac sedra.bethmardutho.org, one of the first peer-reviewed open access journals hugoye.bethmardutho.org, and one of the earliest online libraries (now hosted on archive.org) https://archive.org/details/bethmardutho. He currently directs many DH projects at the Syriac Institute in Piscataway. |
