Bio | Kelley Kreitz is Assistant Professor of English at Pace University in New York City and Co-Director of the university’s new digital humanities center Babble Lab. Previously, she was a postdoctoral visiting scholar in Comparative Media Studies/Writing at MIT, and she received her Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from Brown University. She teaches courses on the history of innovation in journalism, literature and media change, and U.S. and Latina/o literature from the nineteenth century to the present. Her research combines media studies, journalism studies, and U.S. and Latina/o American literary studies. She is currently completing a book called American Alternatives: A Hemispheric History of the Present in Nineteenth-Century Print Culture. |
