Bio | Marek Zielinski was educated in Łódź (Łódź Polytechnic and Polish Academy of Sciences) and in New York (New York University). A polymer scientist with 30 publications and 50 conference presentations, was active in the „Solidarity” movement. Arrived in the US 2 weeks before marshal law was declared, and discovered the Piłsudski Institute, where professor Jędrzejewicz was giving lectures on Polish history. His carrier in Information Technology started in 1993, following his interest dating from nineteen seventies. He created one of the first Polish ISP, „Publiczny Dostęp do Internetu”, and worked as a software designer for major newspaper publishers like the New York Times. Since 2002 he is using his experience and expertise to modernize the Piłsudski Institute and to digitize its archives. |
