Bio | Michael Dorsch is a doctoral student specializing in geography in the Earth and Environmental Science Program at the Graduate Center, City University of New York (CUNY). Michael has taught courses on environmental conservation and resource management, introduction to environmental geosciences, and international pollution issues at Hunter College, CUNY. He is broadly interested in social and environmental justice issues as well as health inequities. His work uses a range of tools such as geographic information systems (GIS) and analytic cartography techniques. Recently he has worked at the Science and Resilience Institute at Jamaica Bay and is beginning a geovisualization fellowship with the Futures Initiative at the Graduate Center, CUNY. |
