      Hi All,

Digital Experiments would like to invite everyone to join us this semester
in our program to further humanistic inquiry, build community, and eat
      delicious snacks!

We’re planning two parallel projects this semester, each with their own set
      of weekly or bi-weekly meetings.

      *Open Labs: *
This is a shared time and space for us to work on our different projects in
the same room. Chances are that if you get stuck on a technical problem,
someone else in the room has encountered the same problem and might be able
offer a suggestion. And if you’re interested in using python to do some
simple text analysis, you’re welcome to join us as we work through several
python courses designed especially for humanists. Anyone from any
      department is welcome!

      Bobst Library, 509B (5th floor), 12pm – 2pm every Wednesday afternoon
      beginning on September 10.

      *Epigraph Projects:*
Continuing on the success of last year, we have formed a research
collective exploring questions of intertextuality and citation. Last year,
we began a study of epigraphs: their design & layout, their historical
origins & development, and their economies of credit & prestige, and this
year we are supporting additional projects on different forms of quotation,
reference, or allusion. We invite others who are also working on the
problem of intertextuality, broadly construed, to join a project that’s
underway or to bring new projects to the table! (Your project need not be a
      digital one!)

Meetings every other Tuesday, 4 pm – 6 pm at the English Department, Event
      space.

      Best,

      Collin

One quick request: If you’re planning on attending our first Open Lab (this Wednesday at 12 pm) and you’re not affiliated with NYU, please email me at collin.jennings[at]nyu.edu before the meeting, so that I can give your name to security at the front of the library. It will make it easier to get access to the building. Hope to see you there!

      Best,

      Collin
