      I’m delighted to invite you to an upcoming event on September 20 at The CUNY Graduate Center celebrating the publication of Debates in the Digital Humanities 2019, which will be offered as part of the Ph.D. Program in English’s Friday Forum Series. Please share with your colleagues. Thank you and details below:

      Debates in the Digital Humanities 2019

      September 20, 2019: 4:00 PM

      The Graduate Center, CUNY
      365 Fifth Avenue
      Room 4406

      Celebrating the publication of Debates in the Digital Humanities 2019 in print and on the open-access Manifold platform, this event brings together a number of contributors to discuss their work, including: Marisa Parham (Amherst College) on “Sample | Signal | Strobe: Haunting, Social Media, and Black Digitality”; Laura Mandell (Texas A&M University) on “Gender and Cultural Analytics: Finding or Making Stereotypes?”; Radhika Gajjala (Bowling Green State University) on “Caring Archives of Subalternity?”; Katie Rawson (University of Pennsylvania) on “Against Cleaning”; Kevin Ferguson (Queens College and CUNY Graduate Center) on “Volumetric Cinema”; and Lauren F. Klein (Emory University) and Matthew K. Gold (CUNY Graduate Center) on “A DH That Matters.” Brief presentations by each speaker will be followed by a roundtable and Q&A.

      This event is co-sponsored by the M.A. Program in Digital Humanities and GC Digital Initiatives.
