Dear friends,
It is with great pleasure that we invite you to join us on Friday, May 22, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. for food, drinks, and music to celebrate the inaugural cohort of Futures Initiative Scholars—more than 365 students and their professors from nine disciplines and ten CUNY campuses, including the Graduate Center.
These extraordinary students have all participated in Mapping the Futures of Higher Education, a collaborative network of courses taught at the graduate level by by Futures Initiative Director Cathy Davidson and President Emeritus Bill Kelly and, in turn, by the graduate students in the class. Read more about the course in a new essay in the Chronicle of Higher Education.
Join us in the Graduate Center’s skylit 8th floor Dining Commons from 5 to 7 p.m. as we celebrate the end of the semester and unveil the course’s “CUNY Maps of NYC” project, a series of student-designed maps visualizing the impact of CUNY on communities—and vice versa.
Kindly RSVP at bit.ly/futures-reception.
Best,
Katina
