NYCDH Week is less than a month away!
The 4th Annual NYCDH Week is coming to an institution near you from February 4-8, 2019. Filled with talks, roundtables, networking, and wide array of FREE workshops on tools, skills, and new techniques, NYCDH Week gives individuals across the region an opportunity to join and network with our vibrant community of scholars and practitioners.

Volunteer to teach a workshop at NYCDH Week!
We still have space for new workshop proposals. Graduate students, librarians, faculty, museum workers, independent scholars, tech companies and others are welcome to offer workshops. Scheduling will begin on Wednesday, January 9. All submissions received by then will get priority placement for their preferred time.
To sign up to teach a workshop please use this form.

Join us for the Kickoff Day!
Following last year’s highly successful event, NYCDH Week 2019 begins on February 4 with a kickoff gathering at Fordham’s Lincoln Center Campus (113 W. 60th St., 12th Floor). This year’s theme is Information and Democracy. Our keynote speaker will be data journalist Meredith Broussard, assistant professor of journalism at New York University and author of Artificial Unintelligence: How Computers Misunderstand the World.

The day-long event features speakers, round tables, lightning talks and networking sessions. The rest of the week will consist of a diverse selection of free workshops hosted at a wide range of institutions across the city, including:

Bard Graduate Center, Columbia University, CUNY Graduate Center, Fordham University, Metropolitan New York Library Council (METRO), New York Public Library, NYU, Pace University, Pratt Institute, and The Frick Collection.

For more information, please contact kimon[dot]keramidas[at]nyu[dot]edu.

We hope to see you there!
