Think Coffee by NYU also has a lot of space and is group friendly.

Personally, I’d prefer Think Coffee over the trek to Brooklyn, but I will be there wherever we decide to make it happen!

Hello! I am new to the group and sadly had to miss the last meet-up. However, I have a couple of suggestions that are around mid-town-ish if that makes sense in terms of transit-ease.

      * Argo tea on 26. and 7 is fairly large and can accommodate a group.

*Birch coffee on 27. btwn 5th ave. and Madison could also be an option – that is, the upstairs area. Since this is slated to happen on the weekend, it may be busy there.

      Cheers!

How does everyone feel about getting together at a coffee shop (TBA) on either November 16 or 17?

Either of those days works for me. I’d generally say a Sat. is better than a Sun.

Either the 16th or 17th is good for me! I’m fine with wherever we want to meet. Think coffee is usually packed on the weekends right?? At least when I was there.  If someone is sure of a place that is generally easy to sit down, that should be good enough..

Thanks for your comments, everyone! Looks like a meet up on the 16th at 10a has won. We’re looking into reserving a table at one of the Think coffee places but will let you know the details later in the week. Also, we’ll be hearing from a recent graduate working in DH right now. Again, details to come!

Zombifying this thread. Any interest in a meetup in early February?

      Agreed, perhaps a Wednesday night?

Wednesdays are generally not awesome for me, but I could make one work. I’ll put together a Doodle and we’ll see when works best, how about that?

I’d be down. I have class until 8:30 PM on Wednesdays, but I could meet up after 9 or so. I’ll be free after 6 most other nights.

Alisa, did you create a Doodle? 🙂
