Bio | Early Modern Technology and culture, and digital culture are my main interests, and I’m specifically interested in the history of technology, and how it is reflected in literature and in today’s intelligent technology; I’m also interested in how technology can be most ethcally used in today’s society. My articles on machine ethics, Science and Literature, computers and teaching, and digital rhetoric have been published in books, journals, and online sources. I was an early adopter of using digital technology in the classroom. my recent book: “Androids and Intelligent Networks in Early Modern Literature and Culture: Artificial Slaves” (Routledge, 2013). |
