Humanities Commons combines a scholarly network and open access repository—allowing you to share your work with groups and on your profile, while also ensuring long-term preservation in a Fedora repository built in partnership with Columbia University’s Center for Digital Research and Scholarship. The CORE repository accepts a wide range of item types and file types, including datasets. Every deposit gets a DOI, and is indexed by a range of services (BASE, SHARE, Google Scholar, Altmetrics). In this workshop, we’ll introduce the basic features of the platform, and outline ways you can use Humanities Commons to support collaborations across institutions, and to ensure preservation of and access to your digital humanities work.
